Evaluation Findings

Evaluation findings are a collection of our user interviews with suggestions on how to improve our product, along with what our interviewees like about our product.

The purpose of this part of the design process was to improve our product by getting feedback from real people outside of our project group.

Before our evaluation findings, we created a low-fidelity prototype to conduct our evaluations with.

After our Evaluation findings, we used our research findings and built an annotated wireframe and our final product.

Quick Evaluation findings

Findings 1: Uploading a new volunteering opportunity can be confusing and tiring. Uploading a new opportunity guides the user to go through a lengthy question and answer process to fill out the information about their opportunity. The process is long, and going back to edit specific information is also inefficient.

Suggestion: Be able to edit your volunteering opportunity directly on the page instead of having to go through the whole line of the step-by-step process again to upload. Also, add a progress bar on the step-by-step uploading process so users know how much time they will use.

Findings 2: Need additional navigation buttons and more clear buttons. It's hard to navigate through the website without having to follow a very clear path that is not intuitive.

Suggestion: Add a menu bar to navigate through pages and be more directive on the return buttons as to where they return to.

Findings 3: Pages are missing some features. Inconsistencies in buttons, the chat button changes places throughout the site. Missing a place to insert members in the organization edit page.

Suggestion: Put buttons in relevant areas and try to stay as consistent as possible with their placement. Add an insert members option. Also add a notifications area for when messages are received.
